Nike commercial
For my Nike commercial I decided that I didn't really want to only make it based off of athleticism or in general Nike's athletic clothing line. For my commercial I really wanted to show different styles and the range of clothing that they have. Even though yes I only included three outfits, I had a meaning behind the entire thing in my mind. I wanted to show that Nike has anything for anybody from having lifestyle clothes to athletic clothes or loungewear to streetwear. So throughout my commercial I continuously kept switching back and forth from my outfit shots to the shots of m jump roping to convey this. In the commercial I decided to use different filters from Instagram one with a pink retro tint and the other with a more goldish grainy look to it. I chose these filters to give off a vintage/modern look for the commercial and used an outdoor setting for a natural, golden effect. I took shots in front of the water, on a bench in the sun and on a road while I was just simply posing, displaying the clothes up close, and jump roping. Before I started the filming process I already knew what I wanted to do and came up with the ideas surprisingly really quickly. When filming I actually had a lot of fun and I was stressed at the same time because I wanted everything to be perfect and the way that I imagined. After taking all the shots I began adding them to my laptop and started editing. At first I was frustrated, but then I got the hang of it and added the VHS filter on most of the cuts to increase the vintage look to the commercial, I typed the words Just do it and had it glitch all around the films and then added background music. When I was completely finished with the commercial I was very happy with the result because it honestly came out better than I thought it would. I also did change some original ideas, for example I decided not to add the shot of me walking in my Air Force 1's in slow motion as the intro but added it in the middle of the film at regular speed. I also wanted to include a part of SZA song which was mainly drums as my background music but I chose to use some beats my Lofi so it could provide a more chill vibe. In addition, I couldn't figure out how to add the Nike logo at the end right after the shot of the shoes in the air as the background. So instead I just added a picture of the actual logo from online with the black background All in all, I really enjoyed this project because it helped me become more creative and let me do something different. I also really liked that it wasn't something too difficult but yet challenging to take on.
