     For my Music Video, I wanted to change the meaning of the song through my actual film. In the lyrics of the song he says "In your eyes, I see there's something burning inside you". The meaning behind these lyrics implies that he can see that his partner has feelings for him even though she playacts on the surface.  In the original music video for the song its about how this girl is constantly running away from The Weeknd because he plays as a murderer. This implies that she is trying to run away from him and her feelings for him. But as soon as he gets to her she kills him instead, which implies how as soon as he wants to commit to her, she doesn't hesitate to reject him. For my video I wanted to tell this story about this normal girl who basically has this alter ego. When nobody is around she likes to dress up and become this glamorous and elegant person. In my film, she immediately goes to the mirror to look at her imperfections. Soon after, she starts doing her hair and dresses up, instantly becoming happier. Throughout the video you see her getting ready and just walking around in her backyard as if she were strutting and whatnot. In the film there is some cuts that are black and white. In these cuts you can see that she is just her normal self in normal clothes and without makeup. In other shots you can see that they are in actual color. In these cuts my character is as her alter ego, dressed with makeup on. In the beginning of the music video you can see that I show very short clips of those cuts with actual pigment. I decided to include these clips in the beginning of the film just to introduce the idea of the music video. When adding these shots in the beginning of the video, I constantly switch between the black and white shots to show the two different themes as well. At the end of the video in ends off with her taking off her make up while looking at herself, happier with herself than she was before.
